The Holidays in Howard County
Wow. The year has gone by so quickly and the Holiday are here already. It is a wonderful time to spend with the family and friends. I am always looking for fun free or almost free things for us to do together. There is no need to look no further than our very own Howard County community.
- Starting November 25t the Annual Symphony of Lights is held in Symphony Woods. Drive through the Lights from 6PM through 10PM, including Holidays. Admission is by vehicle starting at $20. A five dollar coupon is available on the official website. For all the click here.

- Saturday December 7, the annual Holiday Mart: Juried Arts & Crafts Show is held at the Gary J. Arthur Community Center. For a coupon for $1 off admission Click here.
- Weekends until December 22 Savage Mill will be celebrating the season with a Miracle on Foundry Street featuring live music, caroling, and Santa. Train lovers won’t want to miss the Holiday Festival of Trains starting November 29th running through January 26th 2014. Open Wednesday through Sunday from 11AM to 4PM the Ellicott City Station will be celebrating toy trains and model railroading. This year the Station is displaying a Lego model train layout, Santa, and interactive train garden. For details click here.
Ellicott City Fire Company #2 (4150 Montgomery Road, Ellicott City, MD 21043) is hosting their annual Train Garden. A holiday tradition in Howard County, this 24 x 10 foot display has eight trains and tons of detail.
