The City of Laurel and its surrounding areas have grown to encompass Prince George’s County as well as Howard, Montgomery, and Anne Arundel counties. History Laurel was founded as a mill town in the early 19th century. The arrival of the Baltimore & Ohio (B&O) Railroad expanded its local industry as the city became a popular home for Washington and Baltimore commuters.
Savage and Jessup
