Summer is winding down but the Howard County Fair is right around the corner! This Saturday, August 8th, the fairgrounds will come alive with amusement rides, carnival games, crafts, livestock shows and good old-fashioned family fun. With attractions ranging from the Champion & Blue Ribbon 4-H Bake Auction to the Demolition Derby, there is something for everyone. Bring your children to the Shazam Magic Show or the “Kids and Critters” Barn Hour. Are you an animal lover? Check out the 4-H Horse and Pony Show or the daily pig race. Beer enthusiast or wine connoisseur? Stop by the Beer & Wine garden for a taste of Howard County’s farm brewery and local vineyards. In addition to the usual festivities and traditions, the Howard County fair will celebrate 70 years of agriculture, community, and building memories to last a lifetime.
