Howard County Ranks as 3rd Richest County

We all know higher eduction pays but the latest 2010 Census reports that Howard County with over 58% of it’s residents holding a bachelors degree or higher comes in this year as the Third Richest County.  The medium household income is one of only three counties with incomes over $100k at $101,771.  The medium house is listed at $ 456.200.

This online article supports a recent article in The Howard County Times article that also, in looking at Census data, reported that Howard County has about 8,000 fewer young adults that 10 years ago and, as some officials believe is due to the county’s high living cost.  The article title Fewer Young Families Making Their Homes in Howard County was in the March 1, 2012 publication.
