Entertain Your Children This Summer with a Passport to the Past
School has ended in Howard County and many parents will be searching for ideas to keep the kiddos occupied this summer. What better way to keep them occupied than something that will exercise their brains while they explore the wonderful county where live? The Howard County historical Society’s A Passport to the Past will do just that.
A Passport to the Past is a free spiral bound journal available at the Miller Branch of the Howard County Public Library that gives children and parents a chance to explore Howard County History. It contains a map and photos of historical sites. Children are to take or make picture of the site and put it in the book. Then write a few sentences about their visit. The Historical Society makes the adventure easy by giving the times the site is open and tours that are available. If an entrance fee is required, a photo or drawing of the outside is acceptable.
Some of the sites on the self-guided tour of Howard County.

- Howard County Historical Society Museum
