Columbia Ranked #1 Best Place to Live in 2016 by Money Magazine
In its 2016 list of Money Magazine’s Best Places to Live, Money Magazine ranked Columbia the #1 Best Place to Live in America. Columbia has ranked high on this list before, but this year took the #1 spot.
Factors such as housing affordability, economic opportunity, racial diversity, median high temperature, job market, and crime rates are all considered in Money Magazine’s rankings. A new factor of obesity rate was added to the list this year as well.
The communities of Columbia and Ellicott City, together, remain one of the top 10 best places to live in the United States. Amenities like The Columbia Town Center, top schools, and 90 miles of pathways and recreation areas are just some of the aspects which make Columbia and Ellicott City attractive places to live.
Just ahead of its 50th birthday next year, Columbia continues to grow and develop in appealing ways to residents and prospective residents.
